FINA World Championchip 14th – 30th July

Diving, openwater swimming, high diving, synchronised swimming, swimming and water polo – 6 disciplines that organise the world championship in Budapest and Balatonfüred this year. New venues and new champions – not to be missed.

Formula 1 Grand Prix 28th – 30th July

The Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix is one of the most spectacular of all car races in Budapest attracting hundred-thousands of visitors each year to the Hungaroring race track near the capital.

Sziget Festival 9th – 16th August

The biggest music festival in Central-Europe  with thousands of concerts, performances and many other programs, exhibitions, theatre shows, films, etc.

Festival of Folk Arts 18th – 20th August

The festival of folk arts is organised annually in the castle district of Budapest. Traditional Hungarian craftsmen show their talents and sell their hand made products.

A lively event with lots of folk music and dance.


Budapest Marathon 14th – 15th October

The event is very popular among runners from all over the world, not only because it’s a truly international happening, but also because the race touches almost all the historical sights of the city, making it more exciting.

Andrea Bocelli concert 25th November

The legendary voice in Budapest again. After 2 years the tenor returns to Pap László Budapest Sport Arena. The concert program includes popular opera  arias and the songs of his famous pop albums.
The artist will be accompanied by a Hungarian symphonic orhestra and choir.


Christmas Fair mid November to Christmas

Annually held Christmas Fair at Vörösmarty square. Handmade gifts from certified craftsmen, Hungarian specialities and christmas delicacies.
Advent calendar at the windows of the Gerbeaud building and many programs for young and old.
