Finally Budapest has a direct bus line from the downtown to Ferihegy Airport. From 8th July 2017 a new line 100E is in operation between the terminal and Deák Ferenc square. There was high demand for a smooth, quick and easy connection, as the number of tourist arrivals reached 4 million per year.
The Budapest airport bus has a recognisable, special design. To ensure the quickest connection, buses only stop at Kálvin square when leaving from the downtown. On the way back passengers can get off at Kálvin square and Astoria too, as well as at the terminus Deák Ferenc square. It’s a major traffic junction, where 3 metro lines cross. According to BKK, the Budapest public transportation company air-conditioned Mercedes Conecto G buses will be in operation.
The fare is 900 HUF and no other passes or discount tickets are valid. Travellers can purchase tickets at BKK customer service desks and ticket offices. It is advisable to buy it in advice.
The Budapest airport bus schedule adapts to flight arrivals and departures. The first bus leaves at 4 am, while the last one arrives around 1 am to the downtown. During the day departures are in every 30 minutes.
There is no directtrain or metro connection from the downtown to Ferihegy Airport in Budapest.
